Traveling isn’t as easy as it used to be. If you are from Asia, like me, you could still visit neighboring countries with just your passport in hand. But if you wanted to go to the US, Canada, Australia or Europe you would need a nonimmigrant business or tourist visa (B1/B2).
To visit the US, in particular, has become quite hard after September 11. To get a nonimmigrant business or tourist visa has likewise become very difficult.
